
Isa-Sophie Zünd

Isa-Sophie Zünd was born in Switzerland and grew up in Liechtenstein. In June 2024, she completed her master's degree in performance at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Budapest with András Kemenes with distinction. She had previously successfully completed her Bachelor's degree at the Basel University of Music with Claudio Martinez Mehner and Adrian Oetiker. After two years in Budapest, she is now returning to Switzerland to study again with Claudio Martínez Mehner.
Isa-Sophie Zünd achieved numerous successes in competitions at a young age. She won several first prizes at national level in the Swiss youth music competition "Musik der Jugend". She was similarly successful at the Austrian competition "Prima la Musica", where she won the Vorarlberg state prize in the solo piano category with the highest score of all soloists. She was subsequently awarded the title of "Austrian National Winner" in the solo piano category. In 2019, she also won the soloist competition of the Vorarlberg State Conservatory. Her musical achievements have also been recognized beyond the competition context, for example through live performances on the radio, such as in the ORF series "Talente im Funkhaus".
The young pianist continues to develop her skills and has taken part in master classes in Switzerland, Hungary, Austria and Spain. She has received valuable inspiration from renowned musicians such as Oliver Schnyder, Kennedy Moretti, Ian Fountain, Pavel Gililov, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Hung-Kuan Chen and András Kemenes.
In addition to her solo activities, Isa-Sophie Zünd is a passionate chamber musician. She performs with various orchestras, including the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra, the Savaria Symphony Orchestra and the Boho Strings. She is also intensively involved in song accompaniment and has worked with renowned singers such as Daniel Behle and Julian Prégardien. Her concert tours have taken her to numerous European countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Hungary. She has performed on major stages such as the Great Hall of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, the MüPa Budapest, the Gasteig in Munich, as well as at the ArtDialog Festival and the La Prairie cultural center in Bellmund.
Isa-Sophie Zünd is supported by various institutions, including the Liechtenstein Cultural Foundation, the Guido Feger Foundation and the DOMS Foundation. She is also a scholarship holder of the Rahn Kulturfonds, the International Music Academy Liechtenstein and the TONALi Bühnenakademie in Hamburg. She is also involved in her own artistic projects, such as the interdisciplinary "Nexus" concert series in Liechtenstein, with the aim of making classical music accessible to a wider audience.

Isa-Sophie Zünd is being supported by the Liechtenstein Cultural Foundation and the StockArt Foundation, among others. She is also a scholarship holder of the Rahn Kulturfonds and the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein.
Since 2021, she has been involved in the activities of the Hamburg cultural and educational project ” TONALi” and is working on several projects to make classical music accessible to a wider audience.
